Delta airlines adds local flights for the holiday season

Delta Air Lines is expanding its Puerto Rico service this month with new seasonal frequencies between San Juan and Atlanta, Detroit and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Delta will launch two additional daily flights between San Juan and Atlanta on Dec. 19, 2013, for a total of five daily flights between the two cities. It also will begin an additional seasonal Saturday flight beginning Dec. 21, 2013. The airline also will add seasonal Saturday service to Detroit and Minneapolis-St. Paul on Dec. 21.

“Delta’s expanded Puerto Rico schedule means more options for customers visiting one of the most popular Caribbean destinations over the busy winter season,” said Maria Fernanda Price, Delta’s regional manager for the Caribbean. “Our flights to our international hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis-St. Paul provide convenient connections to San Juan from top destinations across North America, Europe, and Asia.”

At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Delta provides access to more than 930 daily flights to 205 destinations, including nonstop service to 61 international destinations. Customers transiting the airport can experience the new Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal, a world-class international facility which opened in spring 2012 and features full signage in Spanish throughout the airport.
